Origami Wings began with a simple observation: too many families in rural areas needed therapeutic support but had few options close to home. Since then, our story has been one of steady, purposeful growth.
Our journey
- 2019 — Founded. We started with a clear mission: to bring affordable therapeutic support to rural families with few options nearby.
- 2021 — Growing our reach. We opened a second centre and grew our team of accredited play and EMDR therapists.
- 2023 — Removing barriers. Grants and community funding made subsidised and free funded places possible, so cost was no longer a reason a child couldn't get help.
- 2025 — Working together. We began partnering with schools and charities to reach more children across the South East.
The thread that runs through it
Every stage has been guided by the same idea behind our name. Like folding a thousand paper cranes, real change comes from many small, deliberate steps. Each session, each new place funded, each partnership is one more fold towards a child unfolding their potential.
