Staff check-in wellbeing sessions give school and setting teams a regular, protected space to pause and look after themselves. Supporting children through difficulty can take an emotional toll, and staff wellbeing matters — both for its own sake and because settled, supported adults help children feel safe.
Who they are for
- Whole staff teams or specific groups such as pastoral or safeguarding staff.
- Individuals carrying particularly demanding roles or caseloads.
What sessions offer
Sessions provide a warm, confidential place to notice how staff are doing, share what is weighing on them, and think about manageable ways to look after their own wellbeing. They give people permission to acknowledge that the work can be hard, and to feel heard by someone outside the day-to-day. They are supportive rather than clinical, and are not a substitute for occupational health or therapy, though we can help signpost where more specialist help is needed.
Check-ins can be offered as a regular rhythm or at pressured points in the year, in person or online, and tailored to your team. They complement reflective supervision and staff resilience training.
