We offer a range of evidence-informed, trauma-aware therapies for children, young people and families. Every child is different, so we match the approach to the child rather than the other way around.
Our approaches
- Play therapy — using play, the natural language of childhood, to help children express and work through feelings they cannot yet put into words.
- EMDR — Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, recommended by NICE for post-traumatic stress, helping the brain process distressing memories.
- Creative arts therapies — art, story and imaginative work that give feelings a safe shape and outlet.
- Integrative counselling — talking support tailored to a young person's needs, drawing on several therapeutic traditions.
- Trauma therapy — specialist support for children affected by frightening or overwhelming experiences.
- Parenting and therapeutic parenting support — helping the adults around a child understand behaviour and respond with connection.
- Adoption and special guardianship support — support attuned to the needs of adoptive and kinship families.
We also provide consultation, clinical supervision, group workshops and school-based training. To understand any term you meet along the way, see our glossary.
