Our parenting workshops support the families in your school community to understand their children's feelings and behaviour and to respond in ways that build connection. Delivered in partnership with schools and settings, they are a practical way to strengthen the bridge between home and school so that children get consistent, understanding support in both places.
Who it is for
Parents and carers of children in your setting, including those caring for children who have experienced loss, change or adversity. No prior knowledge is needed, and everyone is welcome.
What parents take away
- An understanding of behaviour as communication of underlying needs.
- Practical, connection-based strategies for everyday challenges.
- An introduction to therapeutic parenting and the PACE approach (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy).
- Ideas for looking after themselves as parents and carers.
Format
Workshops are interactive and welcoming, with time for questions and discussion in a relaxed, non-judgemental setting. They can be run in person at your setting or online, and tailored to your community's needs — for example a single session or a short series building on each theme.
