Therapy support brings therapeutic help to pupils within the familiar setting of their school. For many children, having support on site removes barriers to access — such as travel, cost or missing other appointments — and means they can be seen somewhere they already feel known.
What we offer
- Play therapy and creative arts approaches for younger children.
- Integrative counselling for older pupils and young people.
- Guidance for staff on supporting a pupil around their sessions.
How it works in school
We work in partnership with your pastoral and safeguarding teams, agreeing clear arrangements for referrals, space, consent and information sharing in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education and UK GDPR. Sessions take place in a quiet, private space where a child can feel safe, and we liaise with families so support joins up between school and home. We are careful to fit around the school day and to keep disruption to a child's learning to a minimum.
Where a child's needs are complex, therapy support can sit alongside consultancy and reflective supervision for staff. Reduced rates and free funded places help make support affordable.
