Reflective supervision gives school and setting staff a regular, confidential space to step back from the pace of the day and think about the children they support. Working with children who have experienced adversity is rewarding but demanding; reflection helps staff stay grounded, compassionate and effective.
Who it is for
- Pastoral leads, ELSAs and inclusion teams.
- Teachers and teaching assistants supporting pupils with additional emotional needs.
- Designated safeguarding leads and their teams.
What it offers
Sessions provide a supportive place to talk through concerns about individual pupils, notice the emotional impact of the work, and think together about attachment- and trauma-informed responses. Rather than offering quick fixes, we help staff make sense of what they are seeing and feel more confident in their own judgement. Reflective supervision is restorative as well as practical, helping to reduce stress, protect against burnout and support staff retention over time.
It can be delivered one to one or in small groups, in person or online, and tailored to your school's rhythm and the pressures of the term. It pairs well with consultancy on whole-school approaches and with staff wellbeing sessions.
