Specialist Trauma

Clinical supervision

Clinical supervision for practitioners working with trauma.

Clinical supervision provides practitioners with a confidential, reflective space to think about their work, their wellbeing and the children and families they support. Good supervision protects both the quality of the work and the person doing it, helping to prevent burnout and hold professional standards.

Who it is for

  • Therapists, counsellors and creative arts practitioners.
  • Family support and early help workers.
  • Practitioners working with trauma, attachment and complex needs.

Our approach

We offer supervision that is restorative as well as reflective. Sessions create room to explore casework, notice what the work stirs up, and consider ethical and safeguarding questions with care. We think together about the relationships at the heart of the work, and about how to stay resourced when the material is demanding. We work in a trauma-informed way, mindful that supporting distressed children can affect practitioners too, and we hold each conversation with warmth and without judgement.

Supervision can be arranged individually or, for teams, as part of ongoing reflective supervision in school and organisational settings, and can take place in person or online. If your focus is a specific child rather than your own practice, consultation may suit you better.
